Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame. Wake up the echoes cheering her name. Send a volley cheer on high. Shake down the thunder from the sky. What though the odds be great or small, old Notre Dame will win over all while her loyal sons are marching onward to victory!

So, working hard-- Internship is going pretty well, major questioning though about the field I'm entering. I LOVE architecture, don't get me wrong.  But this week they sent me out to take site pics of where we're building a bank.  Come to find out that three lovely houses that sit on the site currently.  Doesn't seem to be a problem for the people that I'm working for, but major ethical dilemma for me.  In school they talk constantly about sustainability--the life of a building should be a hell of a lot longer than 30 years.  And tearing down good architecture is not what we're about.  So, I can't see working for them after I graduate, or maybe it's just the commercial architecture that I have an issue with-- who knows.  But I'm learning a ton, so positive experience all around :).

Got to hang out with some friends, so it's been fun.  Others refuse to return a phone call which way sucks--  torn between saying I'm too busy for this crap, and remembering that I have the most awesome friends in the world, I should cut them some slack :).

But that's life right now.  Later boys n girls.

Conversation of the day:

(background: My roommate (Amanda) is going to field training for air force this summer--a boot camp-like nightmare...  Other roommate dating a rich, out of shape kid (Liam) from Connecticut)

Ash "Yeah, Amanda's going to be training for a month in South Dakota"
Me "I don't think I could ever do that..."
Nick "If it were just the physical thing it would be fine, but with all that stress and structure, I don't know."
Liam "Have you ever had to do anything like that before?"
Nick "eh, football was the closest thing for me"
Liam "Gosh, I had to go to tennis camp in florida and I only made it a week"
**All burst into laughter, except Liam who remains basically expressionless**

Too funny...

And just heard in the hall:
"Yeah, my mom really likes him so she doesn't want me to scare him away with talk of marriage"
"How long have you been dating him?"
"Seven months--"
"Oh, well then it's time right?"

Mmmm-kay??

Four Finals this week: 1 mon 1 tues and 2 fri...

Move my stuff back to Cville one week from today (saturday)

To all of you at musicfest while I'm studying...  I still love you, but a little bit less .

Had an amazing Wednesday night/Thursday Morning:
Erin (my cousin) came down from Madison, and we
1)Prepartied on campus at 9:00
2)Were beer-pong champions at the arkie party
3)Were the hottest (only) girls at the Clover Ridge party
4)Chilled outside at the house party, talking with some awesome folks
5)Ate breakfast at Nick's Patio with a few friends and OUR CABBIE (Scott)
6)Got "Jesus Cab" t-shirts from said Cabbie
7)Rolled into the dorm at about 6am
8)Talked for about a half hour about life, watching it get light over Notre Dame

Then after a Thursday of recovery...  Friday night we had a small shindig for our friend Zach...  We'll just say it was good times...

Have a good day everybody, I'll be seein' ya soon.

I will make my grand return to C'ville the evening of the 13th (may), and don't go to Roma until the 7th of September... so there is absolutely no reason that I shouldn't see each and every one of you...except for the fact that I'm working full time at an architecture firm (which is awesome ), but we can work around that.  And Mandy, people have asked me if you were doing one of your annual picnics--they're in demand my dear...  Have a good one everybody-- C
